SODA ASH LIGHT SODA ASH DENSE

Soda ash is the trade name for sodium carbonate (Na2CO3), a white, anhydrous, powdered or granular substance. It is an important raw material used in the manufacture of glass, detergents, chemicals and other industrial products.Sodium carbonate has been used in manufacturing for more than 5,000 years. It was extracted from the ashes of various plants and lasted until the mid-19th century, hence the name "soda ash".

Today, "natural soda ash" is refined from mineral bases and is considered a standard of quality and purity, as well as from brine containing sodium carbonate. Then there is synthetic soda ash, which is made in many different chemical ways.

Soda ash can be divided into light base, heavy base. They share the same chemical properties but differ in physical properties, such as volume density, particle size and shape (which affect flow characteristics and the Angle of rest).

While the company processes and manufactures soda, many other sodium compounds are made as by-products, including sodium bicarbonate (also known as baking soda), sodium sulfite, sodium tripolyphosphate, and chemical caustic soda.
